Review a scenario from your Inbox

When someone submits a scenario for review, each reviewer gets a task in their Inbox. This is the same Inbox you use for everything else in Flowstate. To snooze, dismiss or filter tasks, see Inbox.

Who gets the task

  • Each named reviewer gets a task called Review scenario: followed by the scenario’s name.
  • If the person submitting didn’t name anyone, everyone who can approve scenarios gets the task.
  • Depending on your organisation’s settings, reviewers may also get an email or a Slack message.
  • Nobody gets a task for a scenario they submitted themselves.

Act on the task

  1. Select Inbox in the sidebar.
  2. To find scenario reviews quickly, set the Category filter to Other. Scenario reviews show a Task badge.
  3. Select Review scenario: and the scenario’s name. The scenario opens.
  4. Select View All Changes to see what it changes, and compare it with live data.
  5. Select Plan details.
  6. In Actions, select Approve & Merge to apply the scenario to live data, or Reject to send it back with a reason.

The full steps are in Approve and merge a scenario and Send a scenario back.

What happens next

  • The review task clears itself when the scenario is approved, sent back or withdrawn, for every reviewer.
  • The people involved get an update in their Inbox saying what happened. Updates are under the Notice category.

If something’s not right

You didn’t get a review task. The person submitting named other reviewers, or you don’t have access to approve scenarios.

There’s no Approve & Merge button. Reviewers were named and you aren’t one of them, or it’s your own scenario. You can’t approve your own.

The task has gone. The scenario was approved, sent back or withdrawn, or you snoozed or dismissed the task. Look under Snoozed, Completed and Dismissed.
